What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin' on here!? The Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather fight has turned into a complete fiasco and everyday looks more like a sinking ship. Both camps are pushing but neither is budging in agreement of how performance enhancing drugs (PED's) should be tested. Mayweather is demanding Olympic style random blood tests from Pacquiao. Pac-man & his camp strongly disagree with this method of testing and deems it completely unnecessary and... they would be correct.

Follow up:

Pacquiao has be tested several times over his career and has never tested positive for any illegal PED's. Pacquiao has agreed to do Mayweather's blood tests but for three periods. First is on the signing of the contract , 2nd is on the 30th day before the fight and the last one will be after the fight. Pacquiao also agreed to unlimited urine tests and he is very concerned about his blood since he believes it will weaken him. They only draw out very small amount of blood that doctors have confirmed not enough blood will be removed to have any significant effect on his performance.

This really smells more like deliberate head games coming from the Mayweather camp and Pacquiaos unwillingness to play along. Mayweather is known for these types of pre-fight antics to get inside the other fighters heads and they have to believe it works. Kudos to the Pacquiao camp for not giving into these pointless games most likely because Pac-Man carries a ton of leverage in this fight. On the other hand it may come at the cost of losing the greatest fight of our generation.

There has also been deliberate slander in the media from both Mayweather and Malignaggi who has been offered the title bout if the Mayweather fight collapses. Sources from the Pacquiao camp say that Manny is very angry over these allegations over taking PED's. Malignaggi, who stands to make the biggest pay day of his career, bests interests would be to shut his mouth or face legal action. Mayweather and Malignaggi are both suspicious of Manny's ability to retain his speed and power while rising thru 3 weights classes. However, both know that Manny has been tested just as much as they have. Therefore, many Pac-Man fans are crying foul and claiming that it is just fear and intimidation. Unfortunately, the amount of money to be made in this Mega-Super fight seems to be heading for a grinding halt before it even gets close to getting started. Is Floyd afraid of Manny? Is Manny on some sort of high tech secret undetectable juice?  Or will Floyd and his camp wait until the very last minute before coming to their senses about losing the most amount of cash any of them have made in a single fight? I myself vote for the latter.
