Avatar in IMAX 3D proves worth $16.50 ticket price

You know when you've just seen a great movie when 2 things happen.
1. Just about the entire theater claps at the end of the movie.
2. Throughout the movie not a single person in an entire theater of 288 people gets up to pee.
Avatar does not dissapoint one bit and actually justifies a pricey entry fee. The entire movie is a sensory overload of intense action, vivid and spectacular colors, and the most realistic 3D CGI rendering to date. The IMAX 3D is just about as good as you can get from a movie that was mostly made without 3D cameras. But 3D fans will enjoy at least a few 3D special effects that are insterted into the 3D conversion which only adds to the barrage of a visual attack that James Cameron hits you with in this instant classic. Beyond the surreal cinematography, the plot intrigues with plenty of substance written by Cameron. Iraq war political undertones from Cameron are peppered into the dialouge along with references to American Indian life and culture. Camerons $400 million dollar gamble investment will pay plenty of dividens and thrust him into the upper echelons of film making along side Lucas and Spielberg. The implied sequel at the end leaves you lusting for more and will undoubtably be one of the most anticipated in film history.
