Ataque de Panico (Panic Attack) Amazing CGI short film on $300 budget
Okay now this 5 minute video is too incredible to believe that it was made with only $300. It's about giant alien robots who attack Montevideo, Uruguay pretty much for sh*ts and giggles and then end up blowing it up with one blast anyway. Regardless, its pretty intense and amazing. If it were really made with only $300 probably not counting software, time, actors, camera, permits, electricity, etc... then yeah I guess it is possible. It is made by an unknown director/producer/amazing CGI artist named Fede Alvarez and his crew. Apparantly it has created such a buzz that this guy now has a $30 million dollar contract to develop a full featured film of the same theme. He posts this video on a thursday and ends up rich by monday. Incredible! Makes me want to give it a go and see what I could create. Not sure what software this guy is using but im assuming its a comsumer level 3d model graphics editor. Maybe Blender which is a free open source program that is capable of this level of "awesomness". I'd defintely watch a full movie like this. Check it out.
